Ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety legislation. Identifying OHS-related training needs in the workplace.1.Administration-Fully implementing and maintaining the Health and Safety management system.-Managing all Health and Safety across the group’s subsidiaries.-Investigating all incidents-Handling workmens compensation claims.-Ensuring that legal appointments remain valid and ensuring they are carried out.-Managing all Health and Safety training requirements and representatives.-Ensuring that all required statistics are kept up to date and that Management is kept informed.-Attending all Health and Safety committee meetings and ensuring minutes are being taken.-Managing all e.tv contractors.-Ensuring that all statutory inspections are tested and carried out and are up to date.-Preparing reports on occurrences and providing statistical information to management.-Be required to travel to different regions /offices.2.Policies And Procedures-Drafting all company Health and Safety policies and procedures and ensuring they are signed into force and being implemented.-Ensuring that safe working procedures are developed and implemented.-Ensuring that planned task analysis of all safe working procedures are carried out.-Ensuring that all hygiene assessments are completed and where applicable ensuring that the correct approved inspection authorities are made use of.-Ensuring that the electrical installation is covered in terms of all certificates of compliance and that it is safe.-Continually monitoring the health and safety management system to ensure that the organization is adequately covered.-Inspecting the premises to identify issues of non-conformity.-Recording and investigating incidents to determine the cause.3.Adhoc Duties-Assisting the manager with Adhoc tasks.RequirementsA relevant 3 year qualificationA minimum of 3-5 years experience in a similiar role
